機械測光底片 M 的最終形態——也是每位二手買家都要學會分辨的 Classic 與 TTL 之別的由來。
M6 TTL 是命名最容易讓人混淆的一台：它和原版 M6 都透過鏡頭測光，名字裡的「TTL」實際指 TTL 閃光測光（原版 M6 沒有）。1998 年推出，可與 SF 20 等閃光燈連動。辨認方法：頂蓋高出 2 毫米，快門轉盤更大且旋轉方向相反（與觀景窗內測光箭頭方向一致）。觀景窗有 0.58、0.72、0.85 三種放大倍率。社群習慣把 1984–1998 年的原版稱為「M6 Classic」，這台稱為「M6 TTL」——二手市場只寫「M6」的一般是 Classic，購買時留意頂蓋與快門轉盤。
