The earliest screw-mount eight-element Summicron 35mm — identifiable by the Leitz codeword SAWOM. Optically the same as the M-mount version; requires an adapter for M bodies.
The M-mount eight-element Summicron in chrome — the classic pairing for silver M2/M3 bodies. Eight elements produce a complex, 3D rendering the later six-element versions lack.
Black-paint version of the M-mount eight-element — rarer than chrome and priced accordingly on the collector market.

八枚玉/六枚玉内部起雾与前组擦拭痕
1950–70 年代的老镜头镀膜硬度低，极易被前人用麂皮或布擦出放射状发丝划痕（Cleaning marks）。务必用强光手电从后向前透光照射，排查中后组机械润滑油脂挥发造成的油雾或脱胶开胶。

第四代七枚玉为了减重，对焦月牙扳手和部分外圈采用工程塑料。验货时轻摇扳手，检查是否有裂痕、松动或第三方强力胶粘贴痕迹。
