Summicron 90mm f/2 (pre-ASPH)

LensLeica M mountMade in Germany · Canada1957–19981112311136

Launched a few years into the M system, the Summicron 90 offered f/2 speed for available-light portraiture at the cost of serious heft. It evolved through Wetzlar and Canadian generations for over forty years (chrome 11123, black 11136 among its codes) until the APO-Summicron-M 90 ASPH replaced it in 1998.

Used examples are a bargain route to the classic fast-90 look: smooth transitions, gentle wide-open glow in early versions, and enough weight to double as exercise equipment.
