Leica M10-D
The M10-D (October 2018) answers a question Leica's most philosophical customers ask: can a digital camera free you from chimping? The answer was to remove the LCD screen entirely. The M10-D has a clean, uninterrupted back with a film-advance-style thumbwheel. Images transfer to your phone via WiFi for review — intentionally delayed, intentionally disconnected from instant gratification.
It also brought back the physical ISO dial from the old film M cameras — a tactile feature the standard M10 omitted. The M10-D is not for everyone. It is very much for a specific kind of photographer who finds the LCD screen a distraction and wants their digital experience to feel closer to the ritual of film photography.
